It depends on many things. brbrFor the casual gamer this thing is really a godsend. Not only is a great venue for such games, it has brought the casual gaming market that has been growing in the background to the forefront of the gaming industry.brbrThe system has some amazing potential, but the previous Nintendo console, the Gamecube, was in so many ways a dismal failure that developers are hesitant to return to Nintendo, and until that happens that potential will probably go unfulfilled.brbrFor younger Kids this thing is also great, and that is the market most of the games appeal to. brbrPersonally, Im in my late teens, and not exactly in the casual gaming market. I prefer the more quothardcorequot games and am fairly wellinformed on the industry. As such the Xbox and the PS appealed to me more. I have a friend in a similar situation who is a diehard Nintendo fanboy and bought a Wii as soon as he could. Now he plays his PS as much as his Wii, because right now there arent many games that are aimed at that age range.brbrBut at the same time, if no one that age buys the system for that reason, then developers have no motivation to make games for them. Anyway, getting a little sidetracked.brbrThe bottom line really is For younger gamers and casual gamers, the Wii is an excellent choice.brbrFor the hardcore, mature gamer, it just isnt the best choice right now, as much as I would like it to be.
