I want to purchase a phone...but...?
im not real crazy about giving out my name and address to get one. i know with the plans, its pretty much impossible not to. Is there a way around it with the prepaid phones? I assume you have to call from your landline phone to activate them with your personal information...

First off, phone companies cant do anything with your personal information besides bill you or they will get in big trouble with the law, second you can get a gophone and activate it onle and I dont think you have to give any information to them if you choose Pay as you go, but with pick your plan you have to give debitcredit card info or checking account info because they do need to get money from you somehow.
