Question
Is the hunt for the Nintendo Wii getting crazy?
We got our kids Wii in October, and it still took weeks of searching. I was with a group of peple the other night and kept calling other people to place bids on their Wiis! We paid ., but these parents were bidding up to .!! Crazy, I think.
Answer
Ran across a Wii last month and bought it figuring Id give grandbabies for Christmas, but mommy said no, that babies were too young for video games, so I kept it for them to play with us at our house. But after playing with ours, grandbabies told mommy that if she wouldnt let them have a Wii, they were moving in with us, so she called me last Saturday afternoon and told me she changed her mind. brbrAnd bright and early the very next day Sunday morning I got on line at Best Buy at am, and a little after the store opened at am, I walked out with another Wii console for grandbabies for Christmas. Paid the regular retail price for that one too. brbrIve actually bought a total of Wii consoles over the last few monthsthe other were for friends who live in remote areas of Wisconsin where there arent the major shopping centers we have here in Chicagoland. I bought all at the regular stores for the standard retail price of . Its just been a matter of finding out which stores are getting them and standing in line. hours was the most I had to wait. brbrPersonally I agree, its crazy that people are outbidding each other to overpay for these consoles from the scalpers, when Gamestop is offering rainchecks for the Wii so you can have something to put under the tree, and guaranteeing delivery of a Wii console in January.
